Job description

A3 Consulting is seeking a Project Analyst to support schedule-integrated risk management, dependency tracking, bottleneck analysis, and resource feasibility assessments for a federal mission-support engagement. If you’d enjoy being responsible for identifying emerging risks, structuring complex information, preparing concise decision-support products, and helping leadership understand tradeoffs, impacts, and recommended courses of action, this role is for you!
In this role you will:
  • Maintain integrated risk, dependency, bottleneck, action, and issue tracking products.
  • Link risks and blockers to affected milestones, schedule drivers, owners, due dates, mitigation paths, and decision points.
  • Analyze policy, technical, staffing, funding, acquisition, governance, data, external dependency, and sequencing risks.
  • Support acceleration, resequencing, tradeoff, and feasibility analysis for client consideration.
  • Evaluate whether schedule assumptions align with available staffing, funding, technical, process, and acquisition inputs.
  • Prepare feasibility summaries, decision-support memoranda, issue papers, and risk briefings.
  • Coordinate with the schedule lead to ensure risk posture and schedule posture remain aligned.
  • Coordinate with dashboard and reporting personnel to ensure executive reporting reflects current risks, blockers, and decisions needed.
  • Identify gaps between reported schedule status and the underlying evidence, dependency status, or resource assumptions.
  • Help categorize and prioritize risks by impact, urgency, ownership, dependency, and need for client action.
  • Track mitigation actions, due dates, closure evidence, acceptance status, and escalation paths.
  • Support governance meetings by preparing risk summaries, decision points, action updates, and issue-resolution materials.
  • Maintain repository discipline and ensure risk, dependency, and feasibility artifacts are traceable to approved source information.
  • Support transition and knowledge-management activities by documenting current risk registers, known blockers, open decisions, unresolved dependencies, and recurring reporting needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Data/Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of federal management analysis, risk management, acquisition support, PMO support, resource analysis, or program integration experience.
  • Experience maintaining risk registers, dependency trackers, issue logs, action trackers, or decision logs.
  • Familiarity with schedule risk, resource planning, federal acquisition, funding constraints, and executive governance.
  • Ability to analyze complex program information and produce concise, well-structured decision-support materials.
  • Strong analytical writing, briefing, facilitation, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
  • Experience supporting milestone reviews, governance forums, risk boards, executive briefings, or senior-leader decision meetings.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work across schedule, reporting, resource, and technical teams to align facts, assumptions, risks, and recommendations.
Security Clearance:
  • Active Secret clearance or higher required.
Location:
  • Remote (DC Metro Area)
Salary Range:
  • The salary range of this position is $115,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
