Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range $55hr - $60hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 6+ years of BI/Analytics experience with at least 4+ years in Power BI development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query (M), Semantic Models, RLS, Workspace Administration, Deployment Pipelines, and Data Gateway Management.
  • Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
  • Experience with Google Cloud BigQuery, Databricks, and/or Oracle Database.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar solutions.
  • Ability to create effective prompts and validate AI-generated outputs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into analytics solutions.
  • Integrate Power BI with BigQuery, Databricks, Oracle, or a combination of these data sources.
  • Develop scalable data models, KPIs, calculations, and measures using DAX and Power Query.
  • Optimize report performance, dataset refreshes, and query execution.
  • Leverage AI tools for development, SQL, DAX, documentation, testing, and debugging.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and project teams.
  • Support UAT, deployment, production releases, and post-production support.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise BI standards, security, governance, and best practices.
  • Review and validate AI-generated outputs for quality and compliance.

Nice to Have:

  • Python or PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Power BI REST APIs.
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices for Power BI deployments.
  • Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and governance tools.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise reporting and analytics environments.
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification.
