Your Role

We're hiring an Accountant to join our Finance team, helping manage our day-to-day accounting and monthly close activities. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our financial records accurate, compliant and running smoothly so we can continue to grow.

As an Accountant, you'll:

  • Manage daily and monthly tasks. You'll handle daily recurring accounting duties, prepare journal entries in accordance with local GAAP, and ensure proper departmental coding. Cash reconciliations and Payroll integration/reconciliations
  • Drive the monthly close. You'll execute monthly closing activities within established timelines and prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Maintain compliance. You'll follow internal controls to keep our financial reporting accurate and reliable.
  • Collaborate across teams. You'll support special projects and strategic initiatives, providing information and answering questions to help other departments succeed.
Location: While Hudl values flexibility, this role is based out of our Lincoln HQ or our Omaha office.Must-Haves
  • Accounting background. You have a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Financial framework knowledge. You understand relevant accounting frameworks (like US GAAP, AUS GAAP or other international standards) and know the financial statement impact of various transactions.
  • Detail- and deadline-oriented. You work well under monthly close deadlines and can manage competing priorities effortlessly.
  • A collaborative mindset. You're excited to pitch in on strategic projects, help out other teams and jump in wherever needed.
Nice-to-Haves
  • CPA certification. Holding your CPA credential is a bonus.
  • System Experience.  Workday financial knowledge is a plus.
