• Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, integrating evidence-based approaches to address a variety of mental health concerns.
• Create pre-crisis and crisis management plans to help clients navigate challenging situations effectively.
• Document all interactions and treatment progress accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Employ clinical best practices including approved evidence-based screening tools to evaluate client progress and treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other health professionals and programs to formulate and implement positive behavior support plans that enhance client outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing licensing and accreditation activities to maintain high standards of care and ensure seamless operation within the clinic.

In your role as an LMHC, you will engage with a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals struggling with anxiety and depression to those in recovery from substance use disorders. You will utilize a person-centered approach to understand their unique needs and aspirations, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust and respect. Your ability to connect with clients will significantly influence their progress and empowerment in managing their mental health.

• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Successful completion of a full-time clinical internship in a relevant mental health setting is required.
• Eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of Florida.
• A valid driver's license in good standing for any applicable client-related travel.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to develop quick rapport and trust with clients.
• Demonstrated active listening abilities paired with the capacity to provide empathetic guidance and support.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage client documentation and follow-up.

• Prior experience in a community mental health setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies is preferred.
• Understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is advantageous.
