Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic services to clients presenting with an array of issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, fostering an environment of trust and safety.
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to formulate accurate diagnoses and define client goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centered counseling.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage personal insight and coping strategies.
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention and support for clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation that aligns with ethical standards, state regulations, and clinic policies, ensuring compliance and enhancing continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver comprehensive mental health care tailored to each clientโ€™s needs.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your expertise and participate in mentorship activities to guide newer counselors and clinical interns.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will support a diverse range of clients, including adults facing mood disorders, children and adolescents navigating behavioral issues, and couples seeking relationship counseling. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from a program accredited by the appropriate accrediting body.
  • Current, unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in therapy or counseling, ideally in an outpatient or community mental health setting.
