Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your role will encompass the following responsibilities:

• Utilize evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to support clients through various emotional and psychological challenges.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and address the individual needs of each client.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and families, to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to interns, supporting their professional development while overseeing their caseloads to align with program outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and funding regulations through diligent monitoring of documentation and client health records.
• Participate in regular training sessions, program meetings, and audits to stay current with best practices and evolving compliance requirements.
• Facilitate recruitment events for interns and trainees, managing the entire onboarding process to align future talent with agency goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized virtual workspace and address any technical or safety concerns promptly.
• Conduct telehealth sessions effectively, adapting therapeutic techniques to the virtual environment.
• Prepare detailed reports for management and assist in the development of program objectives to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be engaging with a varied client population, including individuals with serious illnesses, emotional distress, and significant life challenges. Your ability to provide compassionate care while addressing both psychological needs and social circumstances is vital. The focus is on empathic listening and tailored interventions that promote resilience and coping strategies in these vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.
• Must be independently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• Proven ability to engage clients through telehealth platforms, including providing crisis intervention and ongoing support.
• A reliable internet connection and a comfortable home office environment are essential for productivity and client engagement.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly desirable:

• Previous experience in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly the AWARDS system, for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring social work interns or students.
