Significance is a woman-owned consulting firm serving the federal government. We are known for building trusted relationships within our teams and with our clients and hiring the highest-level experts who implement innovative solutions. We also like to have fun! Our focus on culture has contributed to Significance being named a Washington Business Journal Best Place to Work each of the last seven years.

Significance, Inc. is seeking a DoD SkillBridge participant to join our team as a recruiter through a structured 26-week internship program. This hands-on opportunity provides exposure to the full recruiting lifecycle within a federal consulting environment. Responsibilities include candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, pipeline management, offer support, and overall recruiting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for transitioning service members to gain practical experience in talent acquisition while supporting mission-driven federal programs.

Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for active requisitions.
    • Conduct Boolean searches and leverage LinkedIn Recruiter to identify passive candidates.

    • Conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications, interest and availability.
    • Deliver structured candidate summaries to hiring managers.
  • Coordination & Administration
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
    • Maintain accurate candidate records and status updates in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Draft, edit and post job descriptions on internal and external job boards.
  • Recruiting Operations Support
    • Produce weekly pipeline reports and track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill)

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or related field; 4+ years of military experience in administration, personnel or human resources can substitute for degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Job Boards or similar sourcing tools.
  • Prior experience conducting interviews, counseling sessions or personnel briefs.
  • Interest in talent acquisition, human resources and workforce development.

Other Eligibility Factors:

  • Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.
  • Reliable in meeting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Willingness to follow information governance and documentation standards.
  • Ability to handle sensitive candidate and employee information responsibly.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams including BD, proposals and hiring managers.

At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
