What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central applications and extensions using AL.
  • Customize Business Central functionality to meet business and departmental requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new features, reports, pages, workflows, and integrations.
  • Create and maintain Business Central extensions following Microsoft development and upgrade best practices.
  • Integrate Business Central with third-party applications and services using APIs, web services, OData, and REST/SOAP interfaces.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Support data migration, upgrades, system enhancements, and version transitions.
  • Develop reports and reporting solutions using Business Central and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, end users, and IT teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and system architecture.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central releases, development tools, and best practices.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience developing with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision.
  • Strong proficiency in AL programming and Business Central development.
  • Experience developing Business Central extensions and custom functionality.
  • Understanding of Business Central architecture, tables, pages, reports, codeunits, queries, and APIs.
  • Experience with SQL Server and relational database concepts.
  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs and web services.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and upgrading NAV solutions to Business Central.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with Azure services and Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or other source-control and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with EDI, e-commerce, warehouse, manufacturing, or financial system integrations.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development certification is a plus.
