This role operates in a remote setting, enabling you to provide care from a location that suits your needs while remaining a crucial member of our multi-disciplinary team. Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals, including physicians and counselors, are vital as we work together to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and their families to identify strengths and challenges associated with their mental health and treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and modify personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, involving patients and families in the process to encourage engagement and compliance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, engaging healthcare professionals and family members in planning and implementing effective discharge strategies for patients ready to transition out of detox.
• Deliver education and counseling sessions to patients and families, focusing on coping strategies and adaptation to patients' illnesses or changing life situations.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques as needed, providing both brief and long-term therapy options to accommodate varying patient needs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to assist patients and staff outside of typical working hours, ensuring continuous support for our patients.
• Present at educational conferences as an expert in psychosocial practices, sharing knowledge and strategies with other healthcare professionals.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing public understanding of mental health issues and promoting available support services.
• Contribute to the professional development of interns and new social workers by providing orientation, supervision, and training sessions.

The LCSW will primarily work with individuals facing substance abuse issues and related mental health disorders. Our patient population is diverse, ranging from adolescents to adults, and includes those experiencing crises stemming from their addictions. In this role, you will address both immediate mental health concerns and long-term recovery strategies, fostering resilience and empowerment among patients during their rehabilitation journey.

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school.
• Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.
• Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a solid understanding of psychotherapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective documentation and patient management.

• Experience in mental health and addiction settings, particularly in detox or inpatient facilities.
• Familiarity with therapeutic approaches including DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed care.
• Previous involvement in community education or outreach programs related to mental health and substance abuse.
• Experience training or supervising students or early-career professionals in social work.
