Job description

Setting: Outpatient Physical Therapy - Sports Rehab

Shift: Dayshift

Status: 1.0 FTE (Exempt)

Location: Capital City Health Club and Sports Rehab (1280 N Montana Ave, Helena, MT 59601)

Assists the Department Director in day to day operations of outpatient physical therapy. Divides time between direct patient care for physical therapy outpatients (75-85%) and supervisory duties (15-25%). Provides supervision to outpatient Physical Therapists at their location. Conducts one to one check in meetings with PT staff periodically, and conducts annual reviews for staff Physical Therapists in the assigned location in collaboration with the Department Director. Facilitates PT meetings at this location in collaboration with the Director, and delegates projects to staff as needed. Works closely with the Director and PT Manager to develop outreach strategies to medical providers and the community. Helps ensure collaboration between St Peter's Health PTs as well as with and club management. Ensures hospital policies and procedures are followed by staff. Is a positive role model for the organization and works collaboratively with members of St Peter's Health Leadership team to promote services and reach quality goals. Will assist with interviewing PT candidates, and coordinate PT orientation processes at this location to ensure staff competency and safety. Provides the Director with recommendations for long-term planning for the PT services, budgeting, and equipment needs. Meets with the Department Director bi-monthly to monitor the budget, discuss short term plans, and address issues. Serves as the point of contact for PT students and plans student internships and observation.  Helps assure that issues are resolved so that productivity standards can be met. Assist staff in goal setting to advance clinical skills to ensure we are providing care guided by evidence based practices. 

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Has a minimum of 5 years of experience as a P.T. Has demonstrated clinical expertise to deliver excellent evidence based care and develop a plan of care that is approved by attending physicians.  Experience in program development, staff supervision, and demonstrated ability to market services to others. Experience with delivering excellent customer service.

EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school for Physical Therapy.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Licensed in the state of Montana as a Physical Therapist.
