Internship candidates can expect a full-time onsite internship program, running from June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026. This internship opportunity is offered for local students in Milwaukee, WI area.

Carefully selected from universities, our interns bring distinctive ideas and perspectives to our organization. Our employees are passionate about building our emerging talent and future leaders. After application and initial screening conversation, interns are aligned interview and be hired to a specific team at NM based on their skills and interests, providing exposure to real-world business perspectives through hands-on learning and meaningful work. In addition to their day-to-day tasks, interns participate in professional development workshops, senior leadership Q&A's, volunteer initiatives, networking/social events, and more!

UX Content Team Internship

As a UX Content Intern, you will work alongside the Lead Content Strategist (hiring manager), Content Strategist, Content Writer, and an extended team of employee experience designers and researchers to better understand the needs of our employees and how to improve their digital and on-campus experience. We are here to help you both identify and continue to develop your future career goals and passions.

Responsibilities of Role
  • Assist in developing content strategies with a focus on human centered design.

  • Build and refine content including for intranet pages and team presentations.

  • Conduct content audits and provide recommendations for improving content consistency, clarity, voice, and tone.

  • Assist in maintaining content style guides and voice and tone guidelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content delivers on departmental objectives while maintaining UX standard processes.

  • Participate in user research activities and team discussions to gain insights into user preferences and behaviors.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and standard processes in UX writing and content strategy.

Bring Your Best! What this role needs. Minimum qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Communications, UX Design, Digital Design, Journalism, Marketing, or related field from an accredited college or university

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher

  • Previous work or classroom experience in one or more of the following: User experience design, communication, journalism, advertising, marketing, graphic design

  • Portfolio link provided via application

Preferred skills and proficiencies
  • Previous User Experience design, communication, industrial design, advertising, marketing, journalism and/or relevant project experience

  • Familiarity with UX principles and methodologies.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • High degree of self-motivation, passion, and a drive to learn

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
