Job Description ProspectBlue has partnered with a mission-driven trade association in the Richmond region seeking to hire a detail-oriented Research Data Analyst to support their VP of Research in maintaining, validating, and expanding critical market data across Virginia. This role is essential to enabling growth into new markets and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, has a strong eye for detail, and takes pride in producing clean, reliable data that drives business decisions.

Key Responsibilities: Compile, organize, and maintain large datasets from multiple external sources Conduct detailed data validation to identify and correct inconsistencies or inaccuracies Reach out to local municipalities and agencies to obtain relevant data and documentation Review and extract key information from source files and reports Prepare and upload datasets into Power BI for reporting and visualization Partner closely with the VP of Research to support ongoing and future market expansion efforts Continuously improve data organization and documentation processes Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field) 1-3 years of experience working with data, reporting, or analysis (internships included) Strong proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas; pivot tables a plus) Exposure to Power BI or similar data visualization tools preferred Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Comfortable working with repetitive, process-driven tasks Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of information What We're Looking For: Someone who enjoys "digging into the data" and takes satisfaction in getting it right A self-starter who can stay focused on detailed tasks over extended periods A team player interested in learning and growing within a research and analytics function Interest in developing long-term skills in data analysis and market research Why This Role: Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic research initiatives Opportunity to grow into a more advanced analytics or research-focused role over time Play a key role in expanding data capabilities into new markets Hands-on experience with Power BI and real-world market data
