24-hr Crisis Hotline Volunteer (Non-compensation-Part-time)
Sexual Violence Support Services Program
Want to gain valuable work experience while helping others with crisis recovery and support? Do you enjoy being able to work from home time to time? Are you a great listener? Apply TODAY!
Volunteers to answer calls for the YWCA's 24/7 Rape Crisis Hotline and respond to crisis calls from local area hospitals. Volunteers also help counsel victims of sexual violence and provide resources to assist them in recovery. Volunteers should be able to provide a one-year service commitment and complete the 40+ hour Crisis Intervention Training.
Our policy is to only have comprehensively trained individuals, work directly with survivors (answering the hotline, crisis intervention and medical advocacy).
This position will require documented proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Volunteers will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to start date.
