Job description

Connoisseur Media is seeking a talented, motivated, and enthusiastic intern to join our programming department in our Anchorage, Alaska market location. This will be a paid Internship through the Alaska Broadcasters Association. This internship will provide hands-on experience in radio broadcasting, news production, and learning how to work with a team. You will be helping out in the Programming Department with news and operations on all seven stations in the market location.
What You Will Learn:
  • Prize setup and distribution.
  • General Administrative duties.
  • Produce and edit audio programming segments.
  • Write and post information to station websites and social media platforms.
  • Understand procedures in case of a computer crash or loss of broadcast signal.
  • Communication procedures in the event of any concerns, issues, or problems with the broadcast.
What You Will Get Out of the Internship:
  • Hands-on experience in radio broadcasting.
  • Opportunity to develop your on-air talent and public speaking skills.
  • Exposure to the inner workings of a radio station.

Responsibilities of this position may include:
