Job description

About Moove AV

At Moove AV, we don’t just manage fleets; we operate the critical infrastructure that makes autonomous transportation a reality. As a premier partner to AV industry pioneers like Waymo, we manage high-tech autonomous vehicle (AV) depots where precision, uptime, and—above all—safety are the benchmarks of our success.

Are you interested in building an AI operated autonomous fleet and depot operating system? Moove AV is looking for a Software Engineer to join the founding engineering team building a brand-new, greenfield platform for autonomous mobility operations, powered by GenAI, LLMs, and real-time visual intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver code enhancements, refactors, and new features for the team's software, working independently between regular checkpoints such as code reviews and daily standups.

  • Take well-understood feature specifications and turn them into working, production-ready code.

  • Build an understanding of the business and customer value behind the software you work on, and communicate your progress and trade-offs clearly to your team.

  • Structure code into multiple reusable, quality components, seeking guidance from teammates or your manager on multi-component problems, and consistently improve by incorporating code review feedback.

  • Collaborate with peers across the full software development lifecycle: scoping, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Participate in operational support and troubleshooting for your team's software, including issues in code you didn't author, working to identify and resolve root causes.

  • Communicate your progress and trade-offs clearly to your team, and build trust by delivering work efficiently and reliably.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Bachelors in a related-field preferred (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering)

  • 1+ year of non-internship professional software development experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice to have:

  • Coursework, projects, or internship experience involving AI/ML or LLM-driven applications.

  • Contributions to open-source projects, hackathons, or personal side projects.

  • Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.

Working at AV Fleet & Depot Ops Tech

You’ll be building at the center of one of the fastest-moving infrastructure categories in transportation, where the AV fleet operations market is projected to reach $12.8B by 2034.

  • Rapid Industrial Growth: You will work at the cutting edge of a booming global industry transforming logistics, supply chains, and urban transit.

  • High-Impact Innovation: Your daily work directly optimizes complex software systems, reducing vehicle emissions and building cleaner, more sustainable transportation networks.

  • Crucial Problem Solving: You will solve massive, real-world operational challenges like real-time scheduling, automated charging, and predictive fleet maintenance.

  • Valuable Skill Building: This career path builds highly marketable, future-proof expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics, data analytics, and cloud infrastructure.

Why Join Moove AV?

You will be joining a team that is literally building the future of movement. We offer the chance to lead in an industry where your work directly impacts public trust in autonomous technology. If you thrive in environments where the bar is set high and the mission is clear, we want to talk. We welcome people from diverse backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
