Introduction

Maryland Public Television, commonly known as MPT, is a public television network that broadcasts throughout the entire state of Maryland and the District of Columbia and into parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. MPT is Maryland's only statewide broadcaster. Headquartered in Owings Mills, MPT is a member of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and is a producer of both locally and nationally distributed TV programs and digital content.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Main Purpose of Job

MPT has current openings for unpaid internships that offer valuable experience in television programming, development, co-productions and related business development. These positions are filled by creative, motivated and energetic students from a variety of majors who lend their effort and time - a minimum of 16 hours per week - in exchange for an engaging educational experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

\r\nApplicants must either be enrolled in an accredited high school, college/university, graduate college, trade school, or a recent graduate. All high school applicants must be either junior or senior year students. Applicants must be willing to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week.\r\n\r\n\r\nCollege Students Required Documents:\r\n\r\n\r\n Cover letter - Please identify an internship from the list of opportunities available on MPT's website. Please indicate in your cover letter if the internship is for academic credit.\r\n Resume\r\n Letter of Recommendation - Academic (from school) or Professional (from work/volunteer experience)\r\n Unofficial Transcript\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nHigh School Students Required Documents:\r\n\r\n\r\n Letter of interest - Please identify an internship from the list of opportunities available on MPT's website.
