Job description

Software Engineer — SaaS Platform (Entry-Level)
Full-time · Mesa, AZ
Small, established company building a new multi-tenant SaaS platform, with the product design and architecture already complete. You'll join the founder (and senior technical guidance) to help build it — a strong opportunity to grow real production experience on a modern stack while learning enterprise-grade security practices from the ground up.
What you'll do
  • Help build a multi-tenant SaaS platform (Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, React) from an approved architecture, with code review and mentorship as you go
  • Implement features, write tests, and fix bugs, with increasing ownership as you demonstrate reliability
  • Learn and apply security fundamentals under guidance: tenant isolation patterns, RBAC, secrets management, rate limiting
  • Assist in maintaining and extending a customized Odoo Enterprise deployment (Python)
  • Document your work and help build out team coding standards as the codebase grows
What we're looking for
  • 0–3 years of experience building web applications (professional, internship, bootcamp, or strong personal/academic projects all count)
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and relational databases (PostgreSQL a plus)
  • Eagerness to learn security-first engineering habits — you don't need to have them yet, but you need to want them
  • Basic Python exposure; interest in ERP/Odoo a plus, not required
  • Comfortable using AI coding assistants and open to close code review — we run a heavily AI-assisted workflow, and part of the job is learning to critically evaluate AI-generated code, not just accept it
  • Strong communicator, curious, self-directed learner
Nice to have
  • Coursework or side projects involving document generation (PDF/DOCX pipelines)
  • Any exposure to payment, e-signature, or accounting integrations
  • Curiosity about AI feature engineering (RAG, embeddings)
