Job description

Senior Operations Analyst

This position provides analytical and organizational support to the business unit operations/management in KPIs reporting, compensation/incentives, forecasting and budget updates. The position performs all related duties in support of goals and objectives, as well as develops processes and proposals to increase the effectiveness of the operations. In addition, the position fosters continued program development and growth by conducting research and audits, as well as by producing statistical reports and analyses. The position coordinates project implementation across all facilities as needed
Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer new and existing programs impacting service delivery and quality, employee performance, internal and external performance management and service provider compensation/incentive payments.

  • Assist with development and preparation of annual budget, goals, and objectives. Provide monthly forecasting and effective budget updates. Implement individual portions of the strategic business plan. Assess, evaluate and recommend alterations to the business plan as needed.

  • Under close guidance, design, build, and maintain reporting that measures key operational KPIs. Develop internal reports on expenses, incentive programs, initiatives, and performance goals and results, including ad-hoc reports as needed.

  • Provide ad hoc data analysis in a variety of source systems and using a variety of data analysis tools/ languages (SQL, Tableau, Excel, Access). Identify and analyze trends with root cause analysis while providing solutions.

  • Assist with designing, building, and maintaining data tables in AWS and SQL for query optimization.

  • Collaborate with other Business Units such as Database and Analytics team to accomplish common goals and objectives.

  • Recognize, design, and integrate continuous improvement components to meet redesign needs.

  • Develop, implement, conduct, document and report results of program audit techniques required to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies, practices and operating procedures.

  • This position requires extensive knowledge in SQL, AWS or Snowflake databases with data mining knowledge as well as data visualization through Tableau. Work regularly requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment in areas such as:
    • Querying large data sets, validating data,
    • Developing specialized reports/dashboards
    • Troubleshooting data issues
    • Developing solutions to complex data issues
    • Formulation of calculations to compute incentives, goals, forecasts


Qualifications

  • Bachelors equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Strong SQL skills with data mining knowledge in AWS or Snowflake

  • Advanced Excel skills (incl. VBA, macros, complex calculations, etc.).

  • 2-3 years prior analytical experience mandatory

  • Requires ability to compile, analyze and interpret statistical data.

  • Tableau preferred, Python a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access required..

  • Professional organizational and time management skills required, as well as the ability to multitask and meet project deadlines as set by management.

  • Proven ability to produce recommendations and proposals and delegate and oversee projects and assignments to other employee

  • Southern California residency required

The starting pay range for this position is:

$80,100.00 - $107,000.00
