Job description


Position Summary
  • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data and Analytics Intern. This internship offers exposure to various facets of operations management and provides an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and possesses strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Build data structure and data lake intake method to support future analytics tools use at a growing Fortune 500 company

  • Collaborate with team members to identify inefficiencies in operational processes and propose solutions for improvement

  • Collect, analyze, and present data related to key performance indictors (KPIs) and operational metrics. Prepare reports to track progress and identify trends

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operational processes, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or similar data manipulation tools

  • Foundational understanding of SQL and relational database concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision

Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar data pipeline tools

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level (data validation, structured tables, named ranges, or form design)

  • Exposure to data intake or form-based data collection workflows

  • Basic understanding of data governance concepts (data quality, documentation, lineage)

  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Sharepoint, PowerBI (DAX , Power Query) or other Microsoft 365 tools

  • Smartsheet

  • Data Pipeline development (ETL/ELT)

  • Comfort working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional stakeholders
