Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Administrator (with a background in healthcare) to join the HR team on a temporary contract basis. This role will provide administrative and recruitment support during a period of growth and workforce expansion across multiple healthcare service locations in Toronto.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will support a variety of human resources functions, with a strong focus on recruitment, onboarding, employee file management, and HR administration.

Hourly Rate: $20-25/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Create and post job advertisements across various recruitment platforms.
  • Screen resumes and coordinate candidate communications.
  • Schedule interviews and support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Support recruitment efforts for a variety of healthcare and community-based roles, including nurses, physiotherapists, personal support workers, registered social workers, chiropodists, and case managers.
  • Assist with the organization, management, and digitization of employee files.
  • Ensure employee documentation remains compliant with organizational and legislative requirements.
  • Support the preparation of HR reports and administrative documentation.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries and provide general HR support.
  • Provide additional administrative support as required.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous co-op, internship, or HR experience considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of HR principles and employment practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility when responding to changing business needs.
Work Environment
  • Contract position
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Flexible work hours available (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., or 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.).
  • Hybrid work arrangement with approximately four days onsite per week.
  • Occasional travel between community-based locations in West Toronto may be required; access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
