Job description

Propulsion Controls Engineering has an opening for a Ship Repair Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years of military or ship repair/marine industry experience; supporting our San Diego, CA location PCE is a full service electro-mechanical repair and diesel repair contractor.

Project Manager Position Summary:

Oversee and lead a team in completing projects by a set deadline, schedule and budget. Monitor project progress, resolve challenges and communicate obstacles.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5 plus years’ experience of military/marine or ship repair industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task with multiple projects.
  • Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines and/or time constraints.
  • Ability to delegate and lead others.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control and costs.
  • Ability to obtain / maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
