Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

In this role, you will lead and inspire a team of cybersecurity subject-matter experts dedicated to elevating Product Security across the organization. You'll shape the vision for the function by crafting, refining, and driving adoption of security technologies, processes, and requirements that strengthen our product ecosystem. Your leadership will cultivate a culture of partnership, accountability, innovation, and measurable impact.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Lead and mature secure development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, integrating security controls, codeanalysis tooling, and automated vulnerability scanning into product engineering workflows.

  • Champion a data-driven approach to improving product security by establishing processes that demonstrably enhance security outcomes. This includes developing and reporting on significant metrics that clearly communicate progress to partners at all levels.

  • Ability to Invest in the growth of your team-coaching, training, and providing feedback to build a resilient, high-performing group of Product Security professionals.

  • Computer, infrastructure (full tech stack) and operating system knowledge.

  • Ability to interpret code written in various programming languages

  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changes quickly, and keep making progress on multiple efforts concurrently.

  • Familiarity with a variety of security applications and tools, such as application assessment/scanning tools and other security software packages.

  • Knowledge of security information dissemination sources (e.g., alerts, advisories, errata, and bulletins).

  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics related to cybersecurity and privacy.

  • Experience working with regulatory and standards compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Science, Computer Informatics, Cybersecurity, IT Security, Information Technology or similar.

  • Experience with DevOps, SecOps, or similar roles.

  • Extensive knowledge of secure development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, methods, and associated tooling (SAST, DAST)

  • Ability to accurately interpret code risks within broader architecture and deployment contexts

  • Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, CVSS, and CWE.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience leading collaborative efforts.

Base Pay Range: $114,100.00 - $194,000.00 AnnuallyPrimary Location: USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLAKLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
