This full-time position is onsite, primarily focusing on delivering care in patients' homes across Arlington and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for new patients, including a comprehensive review of medical history and symptom assessment, followed by the development of customized therapeutic plans that address their unique challenges.
  • Engage with patients and their families to explain evaluation findings clearly and collaboratively set achievable goals that align with their needs and aspirations.
  • Implement treatment protocols effectively, adjusting strategies based on patient progress and adapting to changes within the healthcare landscape.
  • Regularly consult with other healthcare professionals, documenting changes in patients' conditions and modifying care plans as necessary while ensuring coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee the discharge process, ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up and ongoing support, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation to reflect their care trajectory.
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to meet productivity benchmarks and maintain an organized scheduling system.
  • Actively participate in community outreach initiatives to promote our services and engage with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to departmental goals and objectives, adhering to industry regulations and promoting quality care standards within the organization.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and educational opportunities while mentoring new clinicians and interns when applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will provide care to a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, and those requiring rehabilitation after medical incidents. The therapist will focus on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall quality of life, ensuring they receive tailored support that respects their individual circumstances and needs.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid DPT license in the State of Virginia is required.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
