Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE
This isn't a typical nursing job. At Forward Focus, our physicians carry limited practice size- which means you'll actually know your patients. You'll see the same faces, follow care over time, and build the kind of relationships that make this work meaningful.
This nurse will operate as a floater between our North Suburb offices.
We're looking for a nurse who brings both clinical skill and genuine warmth. Someone who is equally comfortable triaging a call, collaborating with a physician, and taking the extra moment to make a patient feel at ease. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Patient care & relationships
  • Build meaningful, long-term connections with patients through direct, consistent contact

  • Conduct phone triage and respond to clinical inquiries with sound judgment and care

  • Educate patients on medication management, health precautions, and care plans

  • Uphold HIPAA guidelines to always ensure patient confidentiality

Clinical responsibilities
  • Manage test results, medication refills, and prior authorizations

  • Perform lab draws, specimen collection, immunizations, and EKGs

  • Collaborate closely with physicians and staff to deliver coordinated, top-quality care

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
  • Current, active Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois

  • Minimum two years of hospital or clinical nursing experience

  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize patient needs confidently

  • Excellent communication skills - with patients, physicians, and teammates

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Who you are
  • A natural relationship-builder - you remember patients names and patients feel better after talking to you

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team

  • Detail-oriented and organized, especially when managing multiple patient needs

  • Genuinely passionate about concierge-style, personalized care

■ Phone triage ■ Lab draws & EKGs ■ Medication management ■ Prior authorizations ■ EMR proficiency ■ Patient education
BENEFITS
  • 401(k) with matching

  • Health savings account (HSA)

  • Life insurance

  • Retirement plan

  • Consistent Monday-Friday schedule - no nights, no weekends
