Local Creation is one of the fastest product engines at Nike, enabling designers to authentically connect with geo-specific consumers quickly and effectively. This competitive advantage allows the team to capture current and developing market trends and translate regionally relevant narratives into product with speed, flexibility, and precision.
This is an individual contributor opportunity reporting to the NA Apparel Design Director. The role partners closely with NA Apparel Design, Product Management, and Development teams, as well as global creative and business stakeholders, within a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal Production Artist I is versatile, collaborative, and eager to learn, with a strong passion for bringing compelling on-product graphic storytelling to life. This candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and self-motivated, with a strong command of 2D tools-especially Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop-and a curiosity for the evolution of 3D product creation.
They bring a solid design foundation and are comfortable working with complex graphics and prints, maintaining fidelity while helping execute new and innovative graphic solutions. They are motivated problem solvers and strong collaborators who value accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement while working at pace.

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Preferred design experience: 2+ years
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite; highly proficient in Illustrator; proficient in Photoshop
  • Proficient in all aspects of graphic and product design including drawing/sketching, illustration, CAD development, typography, print and pattern development, trim creation, color theory and technical applications.
  • Foundational understanding of apparel construction, schematic development and tech pack creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional level experience in 3D and/or AI a plus (CLO, V-Stitcher, Vizcom)
  • Technical skills within automation, scripts and CC Libraries are a plus

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will create and maintain graphic schematics, support the development of consumer-right color and graphics assortments, and manage product imagery. Your work will primarily focus on footwear, with regular collaboration across the apparel space. You will work heavily in Photoshop and occasionally in 3D programs to render photo-real product imagery.
You will support design teams by creating trim tech packs, all-over prints, and style schematics in Illustrator. Managing multiple, competing priorities is part of the daily rhythm. You will work with color palettes, leverage shared libraries and digital assets, and consistently look for ways to evolve and improve processes.
You will attend team meetings, partner closely with cross-functional triad teammates, and also work effectively independently. You will intake work and information from multiple sources, collaborate within Miro workspaces, communicate clearly across the product creation triad, and contribute to building a connected, high-performing team environment.
