Job Title: Part-Time Industrial Sewing & Sublimation Specialist (Athletic Apparel)

Position Type: Part-Time
Pay Range: $18.00 $21.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Reports To: Production Manager / Team Lead


Position Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Industrial Sewing & Sublimation Specialist to join our athletic apparel production team. This role focuses on high-quality sewing, embroidery, and sublimation processes for athletic wear and performance garments. The ideal candidate has strong experience operating industrial sewing equipment and working with a variety of technical fabrics to produce professional-grade athletic apparel.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble athletic apparel, including single-needle, double-needle, overlock, coverstitch, and specialized machines.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain sublimation equipment for printing and transferring designs onto garments and fabrics.
  • Perform embroidery operations using industrial embroidery machines.
  • Work with various materials including polyester, spandex, performance knits, mesh, and technical fabrics.
  • Cut, prepare, and assemble garments according to patterns, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality control inspections at every stage of production to ensure garments meet design and durability requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on sewing, embroidery, and sublimation equipment.
  • Collaborate with the design and production team to bring athletic apparel concepts to finished products.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial sewing equipment.
    • Proven background in embroidery using industrial machines.
    • Experience with sublimation printing and equipment for apparel.
    • Strong portfolio or demonstrated experience in athletic apparel design and production.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Proficiency working with performance fabrics and stretch materials.
    • Solid understanding of garment construction, pattern reading, and fit adjustments.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, spec sheets, and sewing instructions.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent high-quality output.
    • Basic troubleshooting skills for sewing and sublimation machinery.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive hand motions.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in small-batch or custom athletic wear production.
    • Knowledge of garment dyeing, heat pressing, or additional finishing techniques.
    • Previous work in a fast-paced apparel manufacturing environment.

Part-time hours (typically 1525 hours per week). Specific days and hours are flexible based on production needs and candidate availability.
