Your Opportunity
Your Opportunity
DAFgiving360™ is an independent nonprofit organization created to increase charitable giving in the U.S. We offer a donor-advised fund program and related philanthropic tools and guidance that empower donors to incorporate charitable planning into their everyday lives and make a bigger difference in the world. Since our founding in 1999 as an 501(c)(3) public charity, DAFgiving360 donors have recommended over $50 billion in grants to more than 295,000 charities.
DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Our Opportunity
This entry-level role is designed for a technically curious professional seeking to apply data, automation, and analytical judgment to strengthen governance, risk management, and operational compliance within a mission-driven financial and charitable giving environment.
Working closely with the Compliance Testing Manager, you will support the development and execution of testing methodologies, control monitoring activities, risk analytics, and reporting processes that provide meaningful insight into operational risk and compliance performance.
You will review large data sets, execute compliance testing procedures, assess evidence and process documentation, and prepare clear, business-quality written analyses. By leveraging tools such as Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, AI-enabled technologies, and governance platforms, you will help improve monitoring capabilities, streamline processes, and enhance transparency across compliance activities. As the testing program continues to evolve, you will have the opportunity to support new processes, contribute ideas for continuous improvement, and assist in developing scalable solutions that strengthen organizational controls and risk oversight.
Success in this role requires the ability to analyze data, identify trends and potential control gaps, evaluate risk exposure, and communicate findings that support informed business decisions and effective remediation.
What you'll do
  • Execute risk-based compliance testing and control monitoring activities in accordance with approved testing plans, standards, and procedures.
  • Review business data, testing populations, samples, evidence, policies, procedures, and system records to assess adherence to control and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare testing workpapers, observations, exceptions, and potential issues with accuracy, consistency, and clear support for conclusions.
  • Analyze trends, root causes, corrective actions, and control performance to assist management in understanding risk exposure and remediation progress.
  • Build and enhance reports, dashboards, metrics, and automated workflows that improve monitoring, transparency, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate information in GRC systems and support issue management, remediation tracking, and governance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, and other business teams to strengthen controls, improve processes, in support of DAFgiving360's mission.

What you have
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in data analytics, compliance, risk management, quality assurance, risks and controls, operations, audit, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data, evidence, process documentation, business requirements, and control expectations.
  • Technical aptitude and demonstrated interest in using data, automation, AI-enabled tools, and workflow technologies to support business problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar tools.
  • Ability to write clearly, organize evidence, document conclusions, and communicate findings in a concise, professional, and well-supported manner.
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to learning and professional development in a regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience through internships, academic projects, certifications, or early-career roles involving analytics, controls, compliance, audit, risk, operations, or technology enablement.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar analytics and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with GRC systems, issue tracking, workflow management, control testing, or evidence-based review processes.
  • Interest in responsible AI, intelligent automation, data governance, and technology controls in regulated environments.
  • Interest in financial services, nonprofit operations, philanthropy, donor-advised funds, or charitable giving.
  • Comfort working with ambiguous information, asking thoughtful questions, and translating analysis into practical recommendations for business partners.
