Job description

About Meaden & Moore:

Meaden & Moore is a leading accounting, tax, advisory, and business consulting firm serving middle-market businesses, insurance carriers, law firms, and other organizations across the United States. The firm provides a broad range of services including forensic accounting, litigation support, risk advisory, tax, assurance, and business consulting solutions.

Having recently partnered with Unity Partners, Meaden & Moore is entering an exciting new phase of growth. The company is executing a strategy focused on organic expansion, operational excellence, and strategic acquisitions, creating significant opportunities for team members to help shape the future of a rapidly growing firm. As the business continues to grow, Meaden & Moore is investing in talent, technology, and infrastructure to support its next chapter.

About Unity Partners:

Unity Partners is a private equity firm based in Dallas, Texas that invests in founder- and family-owned business services companies across North America. The firm partners with management teams to accelerate growth through operational improvements, technology enablement, talent development, and strategic M&A.

Unlike traditional financial investors, Unity takes a collaborative approach to value creation, working closely alongside management teams to build market-leading platforms. The firm focuses on long-term partnership, operational excellence, and creating sustainable growth for employees, customers, and shareholders.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Manager-level Forensic Accountant with approximately 5โ€“7 years of litigation support, forensic accounting, economic damages, and/or insurance claims experience to join our growing practice. This role is designed for a professional who is ready to take ownership of client relationships, oversee Staff and Senior team members, and serve as a key point of contact on a wide range of forensic accounting assignments.

As a Manager, this individual will be on the front lines of engagement executionโ€”reviewing and analyzing Staff and Senior findings, preparing loss measurements and written reports, communicating directly with clients, and helping manage the relationship between the firm and the client. On larger engagements, the Manager will provide critical review and analysis, supervise team members, participate in client meetings, and provide updates to supervisors and engagement leaders.

This position offers significant client interaction and exposure to attorneys, insurance carriers, corporate clients, and experienced forensic accounting professionals on matters involving financial damages, lost profits, business interruption, insurance claims, fraud investigations, and other dispute-related engagements.

Managers typically balance multiple active assignments at once and are expected to manage competing priorities, client communications, team workflow, and high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Engagement Management, Review & Analysis

  • Lead and manage forensic accounting assignments involving financial records, tax returns, payroll data, accounting records, bank statements, business documents, and claim materials.
  • Complete and review financial analyses and loss measurements related to:
    • Lost profits
    • Lost wages and earning capacity
    • Business interruption losses
    • Partnership and shareholder disputes
    • Contract disputes
    • Fraud and forensic accounting matters
  • Review pleadings, discovery responses, deposition testimony, expert reports, claim documentation, and other case materials to identify key financial issues.
  • Prepare, review, and contribute to written reports, damages models, workpapers, rebuttal analyses, and demonstrative exhibits.
  • Provide critical review and analysis on larger engagements while helping ensure conclusions are well-supported, accurate, and clearly communicated.

Team Supervision & Workflow Management

  • Supervise Staff, Seniors, and Interns, including reviewing work product, providing guidance, and helping develop technical and client-service skills.
  • Coordinate day-to-day assignment workflow, including prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and monitoring progress across multiple active matters.
  • Organize, summarize, and analyze large document productions while directing team members on key financial and operational areas of focus.
  • Prepare and review chronologies, damages summaries, case dashboards, and internal updates for supervisors and engagement leaders.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients on many assignments, communicating regularly by email, Teams, phone, in-person meetings, and other client-facing settings.
  • Participate in assignment meetings with clients, attorneys, adjusters, and internal engagement leaders to discuss status, findings, open items, and next steps.
  • Help manage the relationship between the firm and the client by translating Staff and Senior findings into clear, actionable updates and deliverables.
  • Support client-relationship development through responsive communication, strong follow-through, industry involvement, and a high level of professional service.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop, review, and maintain financial models used to measure losses, evaluate claims, and support written conclusions.
  • Perform and review trend analyses, lost profits calculations, wage-loss analyses, business interruption analyses, and other damages-related procedures.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported workpapers and written reports that can withstand client, expert, and litigation scrutiny.
  • Evaluate opposing analyses, identify methodological weaknesses, and communicate financial findings effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 5โ€“7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
    • Litigation support
    • Forensic accounting
    • Economic damages
    • Insurance claims
    • Business valuation
    • Public accounting with dispute-related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise Staff and Senior team members, review work product, and manage assignment workflow.
  • Strong client-service skills with the ability to communicate directly and professionally with clients, attorneys, adjusters, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of assignments, competing priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Preferred

  • CPA, CFE, CVA, ABV, or progress toward professional certification.
  • Experience supporting testifying experts.
  • Experience with commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, or lost wages claims.
  • Insurance industry experience, particularly:
    • Business interruption
    • Property losses
    • Commercial claims
    • Subrogation
    • Coverage disputes
    • Catastrophe or loss consulting
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis, tax returns, and damages methodologies.

What Success Looks Like:

The ideal candidate is a confident, detail-oriented forensic accounting professional who is ready to operate at the Manager level. They can manage multiple assignments at once, oversee Staff and Seniors, communicate directly with clients, and translate complex financial analyses into clear loss measurements, written reports, and practical updates. They are comfortable balancing hands-on analysis with review responsibilities, client communication, and team supervision, and they thrive in an environment where no two matters are the same.

Representative Matter Types:

  • Commercial contract disputes
  • Partnership and shareholder disputes
  • Personal injury wrongful termination and wrongful death matters
  • Wage and hour claims
  • Insurance coverage disputes
  • Business interruption losses
