Summary:
We areseeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the GHS Endoscopy Center. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of endoscopic procedures. You will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education while assisting in maintaining compliance with accreditation and CMS standards.
Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Assessment and Preparation:
    • Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and medication reviews.
    • Educate patients and their families about the endoscopy process, including preparation requirements and post-operative care.
  2. Informed Consent and Documentation:
    • Obtain and verify informed consent from patients prior to procedures, ensuring they understand risks and benefits.
    • Document all relevant patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  3. Pre-Operative Care:
    • Administer prescribed pre-operative medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
    • Prepare and ensure the readiness of the treatment area and equipment prior to procedures.

  • Certification: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
