We are in search of an Entry-level Field Service Engineer to join our Power & Water Solutions business based in Cranberry Township or one of our regional offices (Tinley Park, IL, Charlotte, NC, Warren, NJ, Houston, TX, or Riverside, CA)

In this role, you will be using the latest software and hardware platform including our virtualization, simulation and remote support technologies to provide customized and efficient solutions to our customers. We will offer you hands-on work experience and on the job training supported by senior engineers and mentorship.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Perform a variety of related functions such as on-site instruction of customer personnel; writing and modifying maintenance procedures; quality control tests and/or product evaluation; provide complete and timely reports on all activities with emphasis on defining problems encountered, services.
  • Direct the efforts of personnel engaged in installation of control systems, sub-systems, equipment, or their routine modification/repair.
  • Provide direct engineering advisory assistance to the customer, and liaison within the company, on issues dealing with the equipment or related matters
  • Cultivate relationships with internal project teams, customer project teams and contractors
  • Apply your advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills.
  • Provide hands-on training to our customers on-site or in a factory acceptance test (FAT).
  • Develop and maintain good customer relations.
  • Participate in the writing, review, and revision of field/operational manuals based on your hands-on work with these systems.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering computer science, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • This position requires up to 80% travel, typically one week in duration with heavy travel more likely during the power systems outage season in the spring and fall, giving you the opportunity to work directly with customers, see projects come to life, and gain hands-on experience in the field
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, design principles, and problem-solving methods
  • A problem-solver's mindset, with the ability to analyze information and think creatively to find solutions
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Excitement to contribute, grow, and make an impact early in your career
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Co-Op or internship experience in a technical environment
  • Hands-on exposure to control systems, simulation tools, or other industry-related technologies
  • Comfort presenting ideas to different audiences

The salary for this role ranges from $75,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
