ABNA is seeking highly motivated individuals for our Summer Internship Program located in

our St. Louis, MO or Chicago, IL locations.


ABNA is a full-service engineering firm, with 60+ team members committed to exposing students

to all facets of the world of Engineering Design, Land Surveying, and Construction. Our internship

program provides involvement with real-time projects, while providing hands-on experience

granting students a competitive edge.


Number of hires for this role: Five (5)


Program Objective:

Over the course of our 10–12-week internship experience you will have the

opportunity to:

• One of the greatest take-a-ways of this internship is the opportunity to learn.

Gaining the skills and knowledge to become a future leader in Civil Engineering,

Structural Engineering, Transportation, Survey, Construction Services, and

Business Operations.

• Work directly with a mentor in your field of study, on real-life projects, to find

solutions to design and construction challenges.

• Participate in discussions and engage in leadership development that will help

you tackle industry issues and situations.

• Experience our company culture up close by touring our facilities and

participating in the end of summer company-wide staff presentation.

• Build a lasting professional network through engaging activities in the

Architectural/Engineering (A/E) industry

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications (Required / Skill /Experience):


• All positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be

required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

• The candidate shall also be able to pass a background investigation.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or have student/work Authorization.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, professional demeanor, and

commitment to customer service.

• Ability to multi-task, demonstrated ability handle a variety of projects with

competing priority.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Previous internships or work experience.

• Involvement with student / civic organizations

JOB DESCRIPTION – 2022 Internship Program _CHI_ STL

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work


This is an in-person, seasonal, full-time position. Days and hours of work are

determined by need, however, generally practice is Monday through Friday,

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Physical Demands

Candidates must have the ability sit or stand extended periods of time,

depending on assigned department, lift 5-20 pounds, open filing cabinets and

bend, stand, walk, reach, or climb stairs as necessary both in the office and at

offsite locations.
