As a Medical Writer II at CLD, you will combine your love of science, writing skills, and medical or technical writing experience to develop high-quality training materials for leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. This role is ideal for a writer who is ready to take on a broad range of medical writing assignments across therapeutic areas while continuing to build independence and expertise.

About CLD

Located in Belmont, MA, CLD (Custom Learning Designs) is a sales training agency that exclusively works with leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. As a Medical Writer II, you will contribute to projects that help commercial teams gain the right knowledge at the right time to better understand complex medical and scientific information and help transform patients' lives.

Job Requirements
  • Translate scientific and medical information into clear, accurate, and compelling content appropriate for the intended audience

  • Research primary literature and identify appropriate sources to support medical content

  • Accurately cite medical content back to primary sources

  • Manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadline pressures while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt across a broad range of assignments

  • Follow project guidance and effectively apply feedback

  • Build increasing independence and judgment across medical writing assignments

  • Demonstrate fastidious attention to detail

  • Collaborate effectively with project teams and contribute to high-quality deliverables

  • Maintain strong written communication and scientific accuracy throughout assigned projects

Qualifications
  • BS/BA in life sciences, language arts, or a related field

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Previous relevant experience in medical writing, technical writing, scientific communications, pharmaceutical/biotech training, or a related field

  • Ability to develop medical content with direct guidance while demonstrating increasing independence and judgment

  • Computer literacy; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat preferred
