Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Specific Competencies:
  • Provides accurate, efficient, and appropriate pharmaceutical distribution services to all age groups of patients.
  • Safely prepares and dispenses medication orders for patients.
  • Supervises pharmacy technician personnel consistent with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a resource for other healthcare professionals.
  • Proactive and is a visionary who influences, mentors staff.
  • Ensures commitment to the values of JCMG.
  • Assures building and facilitating of teams.
  • Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures.

JCMG Core Competencies:
  • Strives for continuous quality improvement.
  • Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain and/or improve professional competence.
  • Maintains high work ethic standards.
  • Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and completion of internship approved by National Board of Pharmacy

Experience:
  • Minimum 1-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

Certification/License:
  • Licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Missouri in good standing
  • BLS required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to use computerized information systems
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed in an interior/office environment. Occasionally work involves driving to locations off of the main campus.
Pay Range: $63 - $68 per hour
