Job description

Sunlighten is seeking a summer intern to join our team for 8-10 weeks in the Leawood, KS area. We are looking for someone who is interested in learning the ins-and-outs of a global marketing team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting Sunlighten's global digital marketing initiatives, including website management, SEO/CRO strategy, ecommerce updates, affiliate marketing, and content optimization. The role offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration and real-world marketing operations across web, mobile, and ecommerce platforms.  We are looking for someone with a passion for wellness, knowledge of or interest in infrared light science/technologies, and of course-marketing!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support Sunlighten's website ecosystem, which includes 8 international sites across three separate languages 
  • Assist with building and updating landing pages for sales promotions and affiliate marketing campaigns 
  • Assist with image optimization for web and mobile across the Sunlighten website 
  • Conduct website audits to identify potential issues and SEO opportunities using provided guidelines 
  • Participate in SEO/GEO strategy sessions and support related documentation or research tasks 
  • Participate in CRO strategy discussions and assist with website updates focused on lead generation performance 
  • Assist with the reorganization and cleanup of assets on Sunlighten's brand asset management system 
  • Assist with website and mobile app testing 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and sales, to support various marketing projects 
  • Assist with other marketing tasks as assigned 

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field  
  • Previous work experience preferred (customer service, retail, administrative, or other professional experience)  
  • Availability to work 9AM-5PM, in-person during the summer for 8-10 weeks in the Leawood, KS area

Plus:  

  • Hands-on experience working with websites and/or digital content management systems 
  • Experience in student media, social media content creation, marketing clubs, or other roles focused on capturing audience attention and engagement
