Job Description:

Certification Required: FAA Part 107 and exam certification ALC- 677
Must be willing to attend one-time training in Dallas, TX.

We are looking for a Drone Operator / UAV Pilot with an active FAA Part 107 Certification. The candidate will be responsible for safely operating drones for aerial inspections, mapping, photography, videography, site monitoring, and data collection.

  • Setup nests prior to start of operations
  • Perform daily aircraft and flight-line checks (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), and other start of day activities
  • Perform routine aircraft standard practices (as defined in Wipro Customer’s uncrewed aerial system maintenance manual)
  • Perform nest equipment and condition checks (before operations, during operations and end-of-day)
  • Maintain nest cleanliness within the nest boundary
  • Replace Wipro customer’s provided nest equipment as required
  • Participate in Personnel briefs
  • Maintain communications with the Wipro Customer’s flight operations center using Wipro Customer’s provided equipment
  • Respond to and complete field service tasks assigned by Wipro customer.
  • Respond to minor emergencies involving Wipro customer’s aircraft and equipment and report occurrences to the Wipro Customer’s designated flight operations manager (“FOM”)
  • When scheduled, visually monitor airspace to detect and report non-Wipro Customer aircraft
  • Monitor air-traffic displays provided by Wipro Customer to detect non-Wipro Customer’s aircraft and report to the pilot-in-command (“PIC”)
  • Monitor for and report hazardous weather conditions in the operating area to the FOM
  • Detect and report visible obstacles or other hazards to flight to the FOM
  • Verify and report location and height of detected obstacles as requested
  • Operate a Contractor-provided light vehicle (van) for movement between various Wipro Customer’s operating locations, move aircraft between sites, and recover Wipro Customer’s aircraft
  • Recover Wipro Customer’s aircraft that have landed outside the nest area
  • Properly secure nest equipment and facilities at the end of the aircraft’s service
