Our Originator Training Enrichment Program is designed to help you start a successful career in the mortgage origination business. Our program allows for bright, talented individuals to develop through high-quality work assignments, mentorship opportunities and a fast-paced work environment.

Hired employees will go through rigorous sales training. At the end of the program, you will be fully immersed in the ability to originate deals independently. This program is based in our New York City headquarters.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be at the forefront of developing relationships by prospecting for new client engagements
  • Lead full-cycle lead research generation
  • Track, qualify and follow up with prospects
  • Present loan terms to clients
  • Perform valuation and cash flow analysis to determine a project's ability to qualify for financing
  • Negotiate with borrowers and internal resources
  • Successfully guide borrowers from commitment through underwriting to loan closing
  • Attend business development trips

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum of 1 years of working experience in commercial real estate with a demonstrated commitment and interest in real estate as evidenced by internships and coursework
  • Proven track record of selling, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as real estate, business, finance, sales
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to consistently providing quality work
  • Possesses attributes aligned with our core values of integrity, excellence, entrepreneurship, and caring
  • Ability to travel as required

Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary for this position is $80,000/year.The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hiredcandidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
