Job description

Coordinates administrative and/or operational functions of an organizational unit under the supervision of a manager or director.  May supervise and/or provide guidance to employees or be responsible for the management of programs, initiatives or events.

Bachelor's degree in relevant area and two to five years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

Collaborates with the Director and Associate Director of UMID to maintain the overall staffing for the BRIDGE Innovate Grant. Supervises and coordinates academic, counseling, behavioral, and internship schedules of UM students, instructors, consultants, and staff to assure adequate functioning of grant activities. (20%)

Coordinates with instructors to ensure classroom assignments for scheduled classes, labs, and activities involving TigerLIFE students (including TigerLIFE classes, U of M classes, internships, lunches, and social inclusion activities) to ensure accountability for all campus-based program components. Serves as the lead and assists with coordinating all TigerLIFE student special activities and events, including homecoming, end-of-semester, and senior activities. (20%)

Manages conflicts, solves problems, and troubleshoots issues that may arise with the BRIDGE Innovate grant on campus, includes responding to all emergency situations reported by TigerLIFE, UofM staff, or campus officials. (20%)

Coordinates the involvement of students, families, faculty, community agencies, and organizations, including establishing and maintaining relationships with campus departments in support of BRIDGE Innovative grant activities through involvement to achieve the mission of a person-driven approach to successful outcomes. (20%)

Assists the Co-Director to prepare financial documents and reviews operating budgets and departmental accounts. Utilizes university systems to review forms for compliance. Investigates and resolves any accounting discrepancies. Monitors Oracle expenses, prepares forms and documentation for expenditures, and prepares any necessary related reports. Analyzes and interprets financial data and other information.  Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies, reordering as necessary. Researches reports, and evaluates major purchases for recommendations. (15%)
