The Opportunity

As a Regional Operations Leader, you will play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of projects across the power industry while helping teams achieve operational excellence. In this position, you will oversee project execution across a designated region, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to manage project scope, delivery priorities, resource allocation, and operational performance. You will help guide projects from scope development through completion, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and organizational goals. Your work will focus on improving efficiency, supporting consistent project execution, and fostering collaboration across regional teams. You will have opportunities to strengthen project delivery practices, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. By supporting effective operations and high-performing teams, you will contribute to dependable project outcomes and the ongoing performance of critical infrastructure programs.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Manage multiple project teams across the region, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to promote operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies and processes that support on-time and within-budget project delivery.
  • Define and refine project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, optimize resources, and reduce costs.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture across regional teams.
  • Manage stakeholder communications to support transparency and successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee resource planning and allocation to address current and future project demands.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering, business, or project management field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in deliverables management with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Extensive experience leading project teams, including coaching, developing, and motivating team members.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools and a comprehensive understanding of project lifecycles.
  • Experience in project scope development, including requirements gathering, definition, and management.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team management, and leadership capabilities.
