Job Summary:

Exos is seeking high performing individuals to take part in our learning intensive, 12-16 week internship program. This internship will be onsite with a specific client of Exos in Jersey City, NJ and requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. As a Corporate Wellness Intern you will gain knowledge and experience working in a highly skilled corporate wellness environment. You will have the opportunity to coach individuals and groups of all fitness levels. We strive to provide our interns with valuable education and experiences that will help propel their career forward after graduation.

As a Corporate Wellness Intern You Will:

  • Learn from the best in class human performance professionals on how to develop and refine your coaching skills

  • Shadow, observe and participate in the programming and services we offer to our corporate wellness clients. Including:

    • Conduct fitness tests and evaluations

    • Assist in planning and implementation of health promotion and incentive programs

    • Provide safe and effective exercise programs and group exercise

    • Exposure to high-risk member management

    • Exposure to injury prevention and on-site rehabilitation (depending on the site)

  • Develop and in-depth understanding of the Exos Methodology through

    • Weekly educational sessions by lectures, presentations, and practicums.

    • Practical training on how to develop linear and multi-directional movement skills, applications and program designs.

    • Self-paced learning modules.

  • Have the opportunity to earn our Exos Fitness Specialist Certification (XFS)

Internship Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program studying exercise science, kinesiology, physical education or related field

  • Must be in a program accepting course credit in exchange for an internship experience, as this is an unpaid internship

  • Passionate about working with the active/athletic population

  • Have current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (Students who are not currently certified may seek certification during the application process)

Internship Logistics:

If selected for this internship experience, you will be asked to:

  • Find, secure, and fund your own housing for the duration of the internship.

  • Book and fund your travel and relocating to the location of your internship prior to the start date.

  • Fund all food and transportation costs for the duration of your internship.

  • Confirm course credit through school advisor.
