Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and adaptable Radiology Technologist who can deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for both patients and healthcare providers. This role requires versatility, as the Radiologic Technologist will operate in various environments, including clinics, hospitals, emergency departments, and operating rooms. The position encompasses a wide range of specialties such as fluoroscopy, surgery, orthopedics, general radiology, and emergency care. Precision is a key trait for our Radiology Technologists, as accurate imaging is essential for effective patient diagnoses. Additionally, there are opportunities for advancement into other imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and Mammography.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of high-quality images.
  • Ensure correct patient positioning during radiographic procedures as per provider specifications.
  • Implement radiation safety protocols and maintain proper radiation protection practices throughout the imaging process.
  • Navigate and utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) system effectively.
  • Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks while adhering to general radiology protocols.
  • Conduct mobile imaging, electrocardiograms (EKG), cardiac monitor placements, and dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.
Qualifications
  • A degree from an educational program recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
  • Proficient understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation safety is essential.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • If employed in North Dakota, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is necessary for those performing medical imaging or radiation therapy.
  • In South Dakota, candidates must secure their ARRT certification within 60 days of employment.
  • In Iowa, all technologists must possess a permit to practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
  • For certain clinic locations, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within six weeks of starting and renewed as necessary.
  • A valid driver's license may be required, depending on departmental needs.
