This position is based in our outpatient clinic located in Newark, NJ, a dynamic and community-focused facility aimed at providing accessible and exceptional care. Staff members collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including orthopedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists. • Conduct thorough evaluations, reviewing patient histories and performing specific assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings transparently to patients and their families, promoting active participation in goal-setting and treatment decisions.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols based on patient evaluations, progress indicators, and best practices in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, ensuring timely consultations and modifying care plans in response to patient condition changes.
• Prepare detailed documentation reflecting the patient’s treatment journey, including initial assessments, daily encounter notes, progress summaries, and comprehensive discharge evaluations.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity benchmarks while maintaining an organized schedule and punctual attendance at meetings and appointments.
• Contribute to departmental performance by engaging in goal-setting and actively supporting compliance with governmental and accreditation standards.
• Proactively pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and clinical competency while also mentoring and guiding therapy students.
• Promote a superior patient experience with a commitment to accessibility, flexibility, and responsiveness to patient needs.
• Involve in community relations and marketing initiatives to enhance the clinic's visibility and support patient access to care.

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or conditions affecting their musculoskeletal systems. This includes individuals experiencing chronic pain, post-operative recovery, sports-related injuries, and conditions like arthritis. Our commitment is to not only rehabilitate but to empower patients to achieve their functional goals and regain their independence.

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state license to practice as a physical therapist.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• A commitment to patient-centered care, lifelong learning, and professional development.

• While prior work experience is not required, any clinical experience or internships in orthopedic settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
