Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile monthly gas, NGL, and oil revenues for operated and non‑operated properties.
  • Prepare journal entries along with supporting documentation for month‑end close.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, research reconciling items, and provide detailed explanations.
  • Analyze revenue variances related to volumes, pricing, or ownership changes.
  • Respond to owner, purchaser and internal inquiries regarding revenue bookings and payments.
  • Prepare and file state reports to the appropriate agencies while ensuring accurate and timely submission of escheatment filings.
  • Maintain monthly DOI transfers and pay code changes.
  • Support the daily management of the Revenue Accounting inbox and ensure inquiries are resolved timely.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of oil and gas revenue accounting experience and proficient working knowledge of Excalibur. Ad hoc query writing capabilities is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of revenue distribution, account reconciliations, and owner relations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that will enhance efficiency and controls.
Education:

4-year undergraduate degree with 5 years or more of oil and gas revenue accounting, or high school diploma/GED with 7‑8 years of oil and gas revenue accounting or equivalent experience.
