Energy Engineer Intern Learning Objectives
  • The Energy Engineer Intern will work alongside Energy Engineers in our Energy Services and in collaboration with our Sales, Proposal, and Construction teams to develop and secure energy projects.
  • Training and Technology: Microsoft Excel, Energy Engineering practices, Procore, BG HVAC 101
  • Job Site experience: Conduct site walkthroughs and energy surveys of buildings, communicate with customers, and learn to evaluate Lighting Systems
  • Team Meetings: Observe and participate in Energy Services and Project meetings
  • Utility Bills: Develop the ability to read utility bills and prepare a Utility Data Analysis
  • Energy Solutions: Learn to develop Solutions with State of the Art, complete write-ups and prepare spreadsheets of Solutions
  • Sales: Participate in collaborations with the Sales team to develop final projects and attend presentations to customers
  • Energy Saving Calculations: Learn to develop Savings Calculations, conduct Audits, and refine Energy Calculations
  • Cross-Functional Learning - Learn about Project Management and our other Engineering roles through shadowing members of each team
 
Qualifications
  • Junior and Senior status preferred; Sophomore status will be considered
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with others
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm to grow and strengthen skills
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new things
  • Time-management, critical thinking, and writing skills
  • Strong computer skills
