Environmental, Health, & Safety Summer Intern 2026
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in EH&S, a desire to learn and grow, and a passion for making a positive impact in the workplace.  If you are a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply for this exciting internship opportunity.

  • Assist the Environmental, Health and Safety department with various tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential hazards and risks.
  • Participate in site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EH&S standards.
  • Conduct research and gather data related to EH&S regulations and best practices.
  • Help develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with employees and management to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Prepare and present reports on EH&S metrics and progress to management.
  • Participate in EH&S training programs and assist with training material development.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in EH&S to contribute innovative ideas to the department.
  • Support the EH&S team in maintaining necessary documentation and records.

  • Completed a minimum of 2-3 years of coursework, working towards a BS in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and technical abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Must demonstrate organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, using discretion and independent judgement.
  • Requires significant adaptability as well as working in a manufacturing environment and the ability to work around machinery..

    Physical requirements:

    Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.
