JOB SUMMARY: Develop coursework to support effective instruction of Design & Multimedia Arts at the school level. Effectively deliver instruction that promotes an exemplary educational program and ensures success for all students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. They do not encompass a comprehensive inventory of the obligations and responsibilities fulfilled in this role. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- Student teaching/practicum/internship/industry experience that meets or exceeds Colorado's requirements
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license in content area or Career and Technical Education (CTE) Authorization in content area
- Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic classroom management and planning skills
- Basic organizational skills
- Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards
- Ability to support programs designed to increase student achievement
- Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum
- Ability and desire to work as a team member
- Ability to actively participate in a Professional Learning Community
- Ability to understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered.
- Three (3) years of successful industry or teaching experience in CTE content area
- Experience working in the public sector
- Experience advising school clubs/co-curricular activities
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
Additional Information: This position is for one semester only (August - December 2026). Courses will include, among others, Photography I and II and CE Digital Commercial Photography.
