Job description

The Aerial Challenge Crew Lead position is primarily and directly responsible for the oversight and operation of the Aerial Challenge Course and Mini Golf Operation. Oversee Mini Golf and Challenge Course Attendants and related staff, for the Sports and Recreation Department. Ensure that property and facilities are maintained to Commission standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and oversight of assigned park area
  • Provide training, monitors work of subordinates; instructs and trains employees in proper methods and procedures
  • Inspect all assigned properties, equipment and specific facilities to ensure compliance with established standards, regulations and laws.
  • Responsible for checking, inspecting and maintaining all equipment, park structures and courses
  • Maintain assigned park facilities
  • Assist as needed, in providing coverage and support to Sports and Recreation Staff as business and staffing needs require
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Maintain operations in other non-assigned park areas in absence of staff
  • Perform related functions as assigned
  • Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee 2-3 employees at the Aerial Challenge Course and Mini Golf operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
