Job description

Job Title: Power Platform Technical Lead
Location: Glasgow (UK) - NY overlap required
Experience: 10+ years in enterprise technology delivery, including 3+ years as a Technical Lead on Microsoft Power Platform

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Technical Lead to serve as the primary technical authority supporting the E360 Performance Improvement initiative. The role will bridge business and technology teams, owning end-to-end solution architecture, governing development quality, and driving performance assessment and optimization across the Power Platform ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end technical architecture for Power Apps and Power Automate solutions, including RBAC/security models, integration patterns, and downstream data export designs.
  • Conduct detailed performance assessments across Power Apps, Power Automate, and related platform components to identify bottlenecks, latency issues, and scalability challenges.
  • Analyze telemetry, application usage patterns, API consumption, data volumes, and workflow execution logs to determine root causes of performance degradation.
  • Provide performance assessment reports with prioritized recommendations, remediation plans, and effort/impact analysis.
  • Act as the primary technical counterpart to client technology leadership, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs, architects, business analysts, and development teams to align technical solutions with product roadmap and enhancement priorities.
  • Translate business and data requirements into detailed technical specifications, solution designs, integration contracts, and implementation plans.
  • Lead and mentor Power Platform Developers and QA Engineers through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Own technical delivery planning, sprint-level task breakdown, dependency management, design reviews, and code quality governance.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, data mappings, integration specifications, deployment runbooks, and operational support documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology solutions with at least 3+ years leading Microsoft Power Platform projects.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps)
    • Power Automate
    • Dataverse architecture and integration patterns
    • Power Platform governance, security, and ALM practices
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and optimizing Power Platform application performance.
  • Strong experience with enterprise API integrations, including REST APIs, API gateways (e.g., Apigee), authentication, and data exchange patterns.
  • Experience delivering complex HR, workforce management, or enterprise workflow applications with compliance, audit, and entitlement requirements.
  • Strong understanding of RBAC models, security architecture, and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with workforce reduction, compensation, talent management, or HR platforms.
  • Background in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards for operational, compliance, or executive reporting.
  • Knowledge of Java-based API services and enterprise data distribution architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Power Platform ALM best practices.
