We are looking to add a Team Leader toourLab team. In this role you will serve as a lead/primary contactto ensure work is completed efficent4ly and safely.Youwill be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.


A caregiver in this position worksnights| 8:00pm-4:00am| no call, weekend, or holiday requirements.


A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision or oversight ofthe laboratory operation.

  • Resolvetechnical problemsin accordance withpolicies and proceduresestablishedeither by the Laboratory Director or Technical Supervisor.

  • Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance aremaintained.

  • Maintain competency assessment documentation.

  • Notify Technical Supervisor, Clinical Consultant, or Laboratory Directorimmediatelyof detected problems.

  • Perform duties of a Testing Personnel as needed.

  • Perform laboratory testing in a compliant manner.

  • Maintain regulatory knowledge and awareness as it pertains to specific job duties.

  • Assistmanager with planning andorganizing forthe section.

  • Assistwith monitoring capital equipment, staffing standards andproceduresmaintenance, and the development and implementation of contingency plans to avert interruptions of service.

  • Maintaintechnical quality assurance programs including assuringaccuratetesting and quality control.

  • Maintain current standards and technical procedures manuals.

  • Assure testing isin accordance withproductionscheduleand variances areidentifiedand resolved.

  • Ensure timeliness andcommunicatesvaluable informationto alldepartmentand personnel who interact withlab.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Chemical, Physical, BiologicalClinicalLaboratory Science OR Medical Technology from a four-year college or university

  • Three to five years of clinical laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing

  • Laboratory training orexperience andcan be met by any combination of years of clinical laboratory training or experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Three to five years of clinical laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing. Two years of clinical laboratory leadership role

  • Microbiology experience

  • MT (ASCP) or ASCP eligible

  • Two years of clinical laboratory leadership role

  • Clinical laboratory training or experience can be met by:

  • Medical technology internship

  • Full time experience performing non-waived testing for the required number of years

  • Part-time experience performing non-waived testing, with2080 hoursequivalent to one year


Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity to study specimens under a microscope.

  • The ability to distinguish colors.

  • Fine motor skills and manual dexterity to handle specimens and lab equipment required to process specimens and repair equipment.

  • May be required to stand for long periods of time.

  • Light lifting may be required.

  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, biohazards, radioactive materials, etc.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50

A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
