Job Description:

At Credera, you'll create lasting impacts for clients by building digital experiences that combine thoughtful design with modern technology. As an XD Design Engineering Consultant, you'll work at the intersection of user experience, design, and engineering to create innovative solutions that solve real business and customer challenges.

Credera will provide you with the tools, mentorship, and training to jumpstart your career. After completing training, you'll quickly join project teams and begin contributing to client engagements. You'll gain exposure to a variety of industries, technologies, and digital products while developing expertise in creating exceptional user experiences and scalable technology solutions.

At Credera, we understand the importance of personalized support and coaching. All team members are paired with a Career Coach who provides ongoing mentorship and guidance throughout their career journey. You'll also learn from experienced consultants and practice leaders through hands-on project work and collaborative development opportunities.

What You'll Do

Depending on your client engagement and project, your responsibilities may include:

  • Collaborating with designers, researchers, strategists, and engineers to bring digital experiences to life
  • Working through project lifecycles from discovery and ideation to implementation and delivery
  • Building responsive, scalable, and accessible web applications
  • Leveraging modern web frameworks and development tools to create engaging user experiences
  • Creating reusable component libraries and design system elements
  • Applying accessibility standards and development best practices
  • Participating in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and project meetings
  • Supporting user experience testing and iterative product improvement
  • Learning from subject matter experts and incorporating feedback into your work
  • Presenting recommendations and solutions to project teams and client stakeholders

What Makes This Role Unique

XD Design Engineering consultants operate at the intersection of creativity, user experience, and technology. Rather than focusing solely on engineering or design, you'll help bridge the gap between how digital products look, feel, and function.

Projects may include work related to:

  • Front-end application development
  • Design systems and reusable component libraries
  • User experience implementation and optimization
  • Responsive and accessible digital experiences
  • Digital product development
  • AI-enabled user experiences and interfaces
  • Interactive prototypes and proof-of-concepts
  • Customer-facing products and platforms used by thousands or millions of users

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building things, care deeply about user experience, and want to combine creativity, technology, and problem-solving to create meaningful outcomes for clients.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates often demonstrate:

  • Passion for building modern digital experiences
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and design trends
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Understanding of both technical requirements and user needs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for teamwork
  • Initiative, accountability, and a growth mindset
  • A passion for learning and continuous improvement
  • Interest in experimenting with new tools, technologies, and approaches

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Human-Computer Interaction, Informatics, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with modern front-end development frameworks and tools
  • Demonstrated academic achievement
  • Leadership experience through academic projects, internships, student organizations, athletics, work experience, or community involvement
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Willingness to relocate to a Credera office location
  • Willingness to travel based on project assignments

What You'll Gain

Throughout your career at Credera, you'll receive:

  • Structured onboarding and training
  • Real-world experience delivering client-facing digital solutions
  • Exposure to user experience, design, and engineering disciplines
  • A dedicated Career Coach and experienced project mentors
  • Opportunities to learn from leaders across Credera's Experience Design and Technology practices
