The Senior Project Manager (Level IV) is responsible for the full lifecycle leadership of our largest, most complex, and highest-risk projects and programs. This role operates with strategic foresight and executive presence, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and at or above targeted margins.

The Senior PM independently oversees large enterprise systems, phased campus deployments, multi-year contract programs, and high technical complexity design-build portfolios. This role acts as the primary escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders, proactively identifies contractual and financial risk exposure, and drives margin expansion through disciplined financial oversight and operational leadership. Beyond assigned projects, the Senior PM contributes to organizational health by mentoring Project Managers, influencing process improvements, participating in bid reviews and preconstruction planning, and advising leadership on backlog strength and portfolio risk trends.

This is a traveling role, from 30% to 75% depending on job needs and can live anywhere in the country if not local to area

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the execution of the largest and most technically complex projects for large hyperscale customers, including:

    • Design-build engagements
    • Multi-phase campus installations
    • Enterprise-wide system deployments
    • Multi-year contract programs

Executive Client Engagement

  • Serve as primary interface with:
    • Security Directors
    • CIO / IT Leadership
    • Facilities Executives
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Facilitate enterprise roadmap discussions.

Financial & Margin Leadership

  • Own full financial performance of assigned projects and programs.
  • Drive margin expansion through:
    • Cost forecasting discipline
    • Labor efficiency oversight
    • Procurement strategy alignment
    • Change order optimization

Risk Management & Contract Oversight

  • Proactively review:
    • Prime contract terms and conditions
    • Liquidated damages exposure
    • Schedule compression liability
    • Scope gaps and ambiguities
  • Participate in bid reviews and preconstruction risk planning.

Field & Operational Leadership

  • Provide executive-level field support on critical milestones.
  • Ensure installation quality, safety compliance, and site organization standards.

Organizational Impact

  • Informally mentor and coach Project Managers.
  • Influence process improvements across project delivery functions.

Main Duties / Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Familiarity with TIA/EIA or BICSI cabling standards
  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience in high-density structured cabling deployments in hyperscale or large enterprise data centers
  • Management of customers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Proven financial management experience with multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Provide regular financial reporting and forecasting to leadership
  • Owning financial performance for assigned cabling projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs, ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Monitoring and protecting project margins by optimizing labor deployment, material usage, and installation efficiency
  • Identifying potential scope changes, change orders, and cost risks early, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard budget and margins
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in: Excel, Word, MS Products
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Analyze contracts and financial exposure
    • Interpret technical specifications and drawings
    • Identify operational and financial risk patterns
    • Manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously
    • Ability to travel to project sites and support field operations as required
